Looking to volunteer or for information regarding donations?
Community Resources and More starts with you.
-

Volunteer
We are always looking for additional hands-on assistance in the St. Louis and Dallas areas. Please let us know if you’re interested in working with us directly.
-

Donate
Are you an organization looking to share some resources or materials? People lack basic supplies, like water, food, and hygiene products.
-

Educate
In addition to the resources found directly on CRAM’s website, it’s important to share what we’ve learned and support our community leaders.
-

Start Local
Even if you cannot get involved with CRAM directly, you can still support the needs of your community! Attend public events, engage your neighbors, be kind to others.
FAQs
What do volunteers do at CRAM?
CRAM relies on volunteers to pick up donations, create individual packets, and to deliver the packets to the community.
If you’re not sure this sounds like you, just get in touch with us. We can always use a hand with something!
Can I give CRAM some of my stuff?
While CRAM does accept donations from individuals, there are often specific items we are looking for. If you’re not sure, you can contact us with questions or find out where you can find CRAM in-person.
Don’t some people prefer to be homeless?
It’s true that there are shelters for the unhoused, but sometimes, individuals feel unsafe, there is a waiting list, or specific requirements have to be met to stay there. There are a variety of factors that may lead someone to be unhoused—nevertheless, CRAM believes everyone has basic human rights and deserves basic supplies.
Is it safe to serve the community?
This depends on a lot of things. CRAM does not deliver at night and CRAM does not let volunteers operate individually.
We acknowledge that some people feel uncomfortable around unhoused people, but safety is paramount.
What if I see someone who needs help?
Stay safe and let us know. CRAM is a nonprofit with volunteers, and does not currently work with local law enforcement or officials to evaluate specific areas. If you think someone is in immediate danger, call 911.
I want to help, but I’m not sure CRAM is right for me. What should I do?
We appreciate you being here and being open to new things. Educating ourselves and others about where we live and who lives with us is one of the first steps to building stronger communities. If you want to volunteer but aren’t sure where or how, feel free to try new things and see what works for you. It’s okay to start small and slow.
